A 50m² studio apartment in Paris presented an interesting challenge: how to combine the warmth of the Mediterranean with the elegant, simple lines of Japanese aesthetics. The owners wanted a functional kitchen that would seamlessly integrate with the rest of the space and take full advantage of the natural light. This ambitious challenge was accepted by Michel Ward, interior designer and founder of Studio Trame, known for his keen aesthetic sense and ability to work in diverse visual environments, specializing in office design, space optimization, and the creation of unique spaces.

  • To address this renovation, a linear kitchen was designed in Sable laminate with round handles and a Dekton countertop, reflecting a sophisticated, simple, yet durable finish. This design is complemented by the colorful tiles on the floor and countertop backsplash, creating a harmonious blend of Mediterranean and Japanese influences.

This layout not only makes cooking easier, but also allows you to enjoy different areas, as the kitchen opens up to the living and dining rooms. Large windows fill the entire space with light, making it even more inviting.

With low and wall-mounted cabinets, the space has been used to its fullest potential without overloading the environment, meeting the owners' expectations of having an integrated and functional kitchen.

The result is a space that reflects a perfect fusion between two cultures and gives rise to a house that evokes tranquility and authenticity.
