A family with two children embarks on the renovation of their most cherished space: the kitchen. The kitchen is where they cook daily, but it's also a gathering place. It's where their children do their homework many afternoons, where they have breakfast together on weekends, and where they welcome friends when they have visitors.

  • Given its importance, they decided to dedicate a very large, light-filled space to it. The kitchen had to be spacious and meet all their needs: ample work areas on the countertop, open storage, a large island, and a separate laundry area.

The main kitchen is laid out in a single line where we've placed all the appliances and the sink. Opposite this line is a large island that serves as a work surface while cooking and also as a gathering place. Another major challenge of this renovation was storage. Opposite the main wall, we placed a unit of tall cabinets with ample pantry space and room for storing cleaning supplies. As a functional and decorative complement, we designed a large shelving unit made of natural oak.

The finish used throughout the design is WOOD oak, a natural and striking finish that fills the space with personality and warmth. For the countertop, porcelain in a neutral sand tone was chosen, providing both functionality and a touch of color contrast.
