In the heart of Paris, a 110 m² apartment has been completely transformed to adapt to a new way of living, without sacrificing its history. The challenge: to convert a Haussmannian classic into a contemporary, family-friendly, and functional space, with a more generous layout, an additional bedroom, and a kitchen that now opens onto the living room.

The project started with a clear objective: to optimize the space without losing the character of the place. The original kitchen was moved to the living room to create a large common area and free up space for a new bedroom.

  • The original moldings, the restored fireplace, and the reclaimed wooden floors now coexist with contemporary materials such as glazed cement and terrazzo, which adds mystery and depth. This interplay of contrasts—between what remains and what is transformed, between the decorative and the minimalist—defines the project's identity.

As it was integrated into the living room, the kitchen needed to respond with elegance and discretion. That's why fronts in Blanco LAMINATE which provide visual clarity and blend with the architecture without competing with it. The design was resolved with clean lines, without visible handles, and with custom-made furniture that makes the most of every corner.

The result is a family kitchen, understated and functional, that becomes part of the domestic landscape without dominating it.
