Sometimes, the most unexpected thing is what ends up shaping the course of a project. In the case of Jordi, creator of Where is my room and The vintage project, the surprise came when, while thoroughly cleaning his house, he realized that his kitchen was CUBRO.

Without having planned it, the central space of his home already reflected his way of life. Because in this apartment in the center of Barcelona, shared with his partner, everything has been conceived from the perspective of mixing styles, practical use, and aesthetic intuition.

  • The house retains its original structure: high ceilings, concrete pillars, exposed brick walls, and a large window that floods the interior with light. This foundation has allowed them to experiment freely, without the need for grand gestures. The layout flows seamlessly, adapting naturally to daily life: from walks with their two dogs to the ever-changing arrangements they create and dismantle according to their inspiration.

At the heart of the space is the kitchen. Simple and neutral, with Metal LAMINATE fronts, it serves as a practical counterpoint within a highly expressive environment. The textures of the walls, ranging from concrete to brick, complement the blue of the wall, and the artworks leaning against the countertop create a balance between functionality and personal style.

The spirit of Where is my room, his account, where he shares references, projects, and unique pieces, is also reflected in his home: ephemeral compositions, furniture with a history, and bold contrasts. There's a distinctly contemporary approach, but also an intention for everything to be alive, in motion, without definitive finishes.

This balance between aesthetics and functionality is something that Jordi has also incorporated into The Vintage Project, his vintage clothing store. A project that shares the same philosophy as his home: choosing carefully, combining without prejudice, and creating spaces with character.

From the selection of materials to the layout, his house demonstrates that every object has its place and its story.
