How to assemble an Ikea kitchen

If this is your first time doing a kitchen renovation, you’re probably not sure how it’s done. Whether you decide to call a professional or do it yourself, it is important that you know the steps to follow in the installation of your kitchen. First of all, these are the tools you should have on hand:

Level, tape measure
Drill
Electric screwdriver
Jig saw
Hammer and rubber hammer
Pencil
Punch
Circular saw
Phillips screwdriver
Flat-blade screwdriver
Miter box and saw
Fine-toothed saw
G-clamps
Crown saw
Set of 2 FIXA tools.

Verify all your materials

When the product arrives you have to check the packages and parts you have with the delivery note (the list of the order).
Before disassembling the old kitchen make sure you have all the parts and appliances for the new one.

Installation in 5 steps

Attention! Do not forget to turn off the gas, water and electricity before starting.

Prepare the space: Make sure the walls and floor are level.

2. Place the hanging rails: Hang the new Ikea cabinets on the rails, which will make installation much easier.

3. Installing cabinets: In the case of cabinets, an orderly way to install them is to do it in the same order in which you are going to place them. Use the product list and the Ikea planner that you have previously created.

4. Countertop, sink and electricity: To install the sink and hob follow the instructions that Ikea has for assembly. Once the process is finished, you can proceed to the supply connection. Remember that these connections must be made by a professional according to local safety regulations.

5. Assembly of shelves, drawers, doors, knobs and handles: First you must place the guides and drawers. CUBRO doors along with knobs and/or handles are the last thing to be installed. We will send you the instructions for the installation of the doors and accessories.
