Don't do it! The 4 most common mistakes when designing your kitchen
You've already made up your mind, you've made up your mind, and after months of fantasizing about having a new home, you're convinced that this is the moment and you're launching into the renovation of your new kitchen, but be careful, don't jump into the void!
Designing your new CUBRO kitchen is no small feat; it's going to be one of the most lived-in and used spaces in the house and it must perfectly meet three concepts: functionality, aesthetics, and durability. You're going to be cleaning that countertop and opening those kitchen cabinet fronts for many, many years to come, and you'll spend many, many hours cooking, tidying, or chatting in this space.
That's why a kitchen design shouldn't allow for any margin of error, because in one of the most important rooms in the house, those mistakes come at a high price! And they can be responsible for turning your dream kitchen into a living hell that you refuse to enter.
At CUBRO, our more than 4,000 successfully executed projects have allowed us to detect the 4 most common mistakes when designing a kitchen. We share them with you below with just one condition... Please don't do it!

1. Not distributing the space correctly
Sometimes your imagination can play tricks on you. You dream of trendy colors, revolutionary materials, a kitchen of pure design... but what about functionality? One of the most common mistakes when designing a kitchen is not paying enough attention to proper space layout.
Have you heard of the “work triangle” concept? It should govern your kitchen design. The kitchen is divided into three main areas: cooking (stove), cleaning (sink), and storage (refrigerator and pantry). If these areas aren't well organized, kitchen work can become inefficient and exhausting. Therefore, it's best to draw a “work triangle,” which details the appropriate distances between the three areas, provides the necessary space for each without encroaching on one another, and promotes optimal circulation within the kitchen.
It's one of the most important decisions when designing your new kitchen, and the CUBRO team can help you create that perfect "triangle" to achieve a kitchen that's not only beautiful but also functional and efficient, one you won't regret.

2. Cutting corners
We know that saving money is a key consideration when renovating. But in the case of the kitchen, the saying "cheap is expensive" can all too easily become an absolute truth. Selecting low-quality materials because they're priced at an attractive price isn't a good idea. In a space as heavily used and as specific as the kitchen, these materials tend to deteriorate easily, which will lead to unprofitable future expenses in repairs and replacements.
We recommend following one of CUBRO's principles, "Made to Last," and selecting high-quality materials that, while they may have a higher initial cost, will save you money and trouble in the long run. The CUBRO design team will ensure that every component of your kitchen is durable and easy to maintain, thanks to high-end CUBRO materials that offer excellent value and guarantee a functional, durable, and safe kitchen.

3. Choose materials that are difficult to clean
In your search for materials for your new kitchen, you'll find innovative, technological, traditional, rustic, and many of them very, very beautiful. However, it's important not to forget how much and how these materials will stain in the kitchen. We remind you: they're going to stain a lot, and in all kinds of ways. The kitchen is a battleground for stains, and it's essential that the materials repel them as much as possible and, in any case, are easy to clean.
You'll be able to forget about seeing that etched glass mark on your countertop again if you choose a material like CUBRO LAMINATE, with a compact, non-porous surface that repels dirt buildup and is fingerprint-resistant. A wipe with a cloth soaked in mild soap will be enough to keep it looking perfectly clean after use. If you opt for CUBRO LACA, you'll only need a damp cloth to remove any trace of stains.

4. Lying to yourself
Starting to design your kitchen without stopping to reflect on what your daily life is really like can be a big mistake that can lead to a completely disastrous and dysfunctional space for your everyday life.
Every family uses the kitchen differently and needs different spaces that adapt to their personal needs. If there are two of you in the house, you may not need a huge refrigerator and would find it more useful to reserve that space for a storage unit. Perhaps you're imagining yourself concentrating on original recipes in your new kitchen, but the reality is that you'll be surrounded by children or friends, so having an island would be a good idea. You may be passionate about kitchenware, but you barely use two pans and a saucepan. In that case, it would be better to have more pantry units than storage units.
Take a detailed look at your kitchen routines, and with the help of the CUBRO design team, you'll create a unique and personal kitchen that truly fits your life.
