Kitchens - WOOD Cherry
A metamorphosis of space and color
In Madrid, a 100 m2 apartment is being reinvented to adapt to its owner's wishes. Looking for a change, this resident wanted to transform an outdated, dimly lit layout into a space that clearly separated the open, social daytime area from the intimate, reserved nighttime area.
To make this a reality, the layout was radically renovated. Although the apartment opens directly onto a shared space that includes a hall, kitchen, living room, and dining room, the intelligent design of the furniture clearly delineates the entrance. From here, a pink hallway leads to the more private areas, maintaining stylistic and functional coherence.
In a bold twist, the former living room gave way to a 45 m2 open-plan kitchen. All the fixtures were concentrated in a corner, giving way to a large set of column kitchen units, finished in cherry wood, offering ample storage capacity. A central island provides additional workspace and serves as a bar, complemented by a green quartzite stone countertop that adds versatility to the design.
The home's color palette was inspired by the hydraulic tiles in the living room, with shades of pink, blue, and green, providing a common thread throughout the project. The cherry wood kitchen cabinets both complement and contrast these tones, creating a vibrant yet balanced space.
After the renovation, the owner now enjoys an apartment that is not only functional but also full of color and energy, reflecting her personality in every detail.
