Kitchens - LAMINATE Blanco, WOOD Oak

A transformation with character

The remodeling of this historic home presented a major challenge: preserving its original soul while adapting it to a modern, book- and vinyl-loving family. Despite the many previous transformations, the commitment was to maintain the spirit of the original design.

The house, characterized by its history and corner location, needed more open spaces for a contemporary lifestyle. Thus, the kitchen was moved next to the living room, forming a bright and welcoming central area. With white base and wall units and oak wall units, the kitchen became a space that was both practical and elegant. In addition, its L-shaped layout allows for comfortable and fluid cooking.

Throughout the process, an effort was made to recover the original materials, such as the hydraulic tiles in the kitchen, and new materials were selected that respected the style of the house, such as the hexagonal porcelain floor in the bathroom and the larch flooring, providing warmth and comfort at a low cost.

The result is a house that balances the old and the new, offering a functional space full of character. The careful mix of styles and materials has created a home that reflects both the history and the personality of the owners.
