Kitchens - LACQUER Negro

Black becomes the undisputed protagonist of this kitchen

The project, an original 1960s home, was divided by numerous partitions, with small rooms and little natural light. Therefore, the spaces were organized to flood the home with light and open up the daytime areas.

The strategy consisted of organizing the spaces around a concrete pillar that connects, but also distinguishes, the kitchen area from the living and dining rooms. A small office is incorporated into the living room, separated by iron and glass frames, creating a division that allows for an in-depth view from the living room. Access to the bedroom was strategically hidden, incorporating the access door into the kitchen design.

The kitchen, finished in a matte black, with Black Lacquer fronts, contrasts with the texture of the concrete of the home's structure, as well as the original wooden flooring. The neutral tones of the custom-designed furniture create a palette that works in harmony with the rest of the architectural elements.

Lighting plays a key role in the project, carefully selected to highlight certain areas of the house and facilitate the creation of different atmospheres.

With this renovation, a 1960s home has been revitalized, transforming it into a modern, open space. The reorganization around a central pillar facilitates a fluid transition between the kitchen and living room, while the selection of materials and colors harmonizes with the original architecture. The strategically chosen lighting highlights key areas and allows for a variety of atmospheres.
