Kitchens - WOOD Oak
Classic materials, refreshed design, and a vibrant touch of color
This 90 m² apartment in Paris's 9th arrondissement has been redesigned to balance its architectural heritage with a contemporary aesthetic. Designed for a couple with a baby, the project started from a space that previously served as an office, which required a complete redesign to incorporate new functions without losing its original elegance.
The new layout organizes the apartment more efficiently. In the entrance, open shelving subtly divides the areas, while a hidden hallway behind the kitchen connects to the bedroom, laundry room, and bathroom, maintaining privacy without breaking the fluidity of the whole.
Each chosen material reinforces the dialogue between classic and modern. The restored moldings, marble fireplaces, and herringbone wood flooring maintain the Parisian essence, while contemporary interventions bring an unexpected freshness.
In the kitchen, the WOOD Oak finish envelops the space with warmth and naturalness. A vibrant orange hue stands out in details such as the shelf supports, light fixtures, and dining area, introducing a dynamic rhythm and a point of contrast to the neutral palette.
This apartment demonstrates how a renovation can go beyond functionality and become a careful reinterpretation of its past. The combination of noble materials, an optimized layout, and the precise use of color result in a space with character, where every detail is designed to connect with history without losing sight of the present.
