Located in the heart of Madrid, in an early 20th-century building, a young couple decided to give their classic home a modern touch. They were looking for a functional and contemporary design that would blend harmoniously with the building's original architectural beauty.

The need for a continuous space that unified the kitchen, dining room, and living room was the project's main challenge. The proposed design broke down the barriers that isolated the kitchen, opening it up to the living room and hall, thus allowing a flow of natural light that floods and enhances all the spaces.

  • The area has been divided with the clever addition of a wardrobe and a peninsula that define, but don't close off, the different spaces. These elements maximized storage, fulfilling another essential requirement of the owners. Wardrobes were added in the bedroom and near the entrance, further expanding storage possibilities.

The chosen finishes showcase an elegant kitchen with metal LAMINATE and white PLANTEA handles. The natural stone countertop adds durability and distinction, while the cherry WOODcabinets with black and white PLANTEA handles bring warmth. The contrast of textures and colors, dominated by vanilla, ivory, and off-white tones, gives the room a feeling of spaciousness and light.

The renovation has resulted in an open and cohesive space that meets the couple's needs and desired contemporary aesthetic. Despite its modern features, the home retains the essence and charm of early 20th-century Madrid buildings, creating a perfect balance between the new and the traditional.
