Kitchens - LAMINATE Comodoro, Sable

Luminous transformation reflecting the personality of a young family

In Madrid, this 70 m² penthouse was renovated for a young family who wanted to reflect their personality in every corner. From the beginning, their intention was to transform the space, filling it with life and turning it into a contemporary, bright, and welcoming home.

The main challenge was to turn this penthouse into a spacious and bright space. To achieve this, they opted for a redistribution that would merge the rooms, eliminating unnecessary divisions to maximize the entry of natural light. The mission was clear: to take advantage of every available square meter, dividing the space into two defined areas. The daytime area was designed as a large open space, integrating the kitchen, living room, and dining room in a symphony of brightness and harmony. Meanwhile, the nighttime area features two bedrooms.

The kitchen was designed with a focus on functionality, dividing the space into two zones. One is dedicated to the workspace, complemented by an island, and the other focuses on storage. The Comodoro LAMINATE countertops combined with Sable LAMINATE on the wall and base units were enhanced with ROUND handles that reveal oak wood interiors. To add a touch of color to the kitchen, a striking pink triangular hood was designed to contrast with the serene atmosphere of the rest of the space.

From being a compartmentalized space, the home has been transformed with a much more open concept, playing with the flexibility of the spaces, and above all, very bright. Especially the common area, which communicates directly with the terrace. The home pivots around a simple color palette with some touches of color, such as the mustard-colored velvet sofa in the living room or the blue bench that serves as a seat in the dining room. A penthouse that has been designed to make the most of and that the members of that family already enjoy.
