Kitchens, Bathrooms - LACQUER Blanco

Maximizing space through color

In Barcelona's iconic Eixample neighborhood, an apartment built in 1910 becomes the canvas for a project for an art-loving individual who seeks to transcend the traditional boundaries of housing toward a more artistic vision. Inspired by the research "Projecting the Void," this space is reinvented with a modern approach, where art merges with simplicity.

The layout of the apartment, originally divided into multiple rooms, is transformed by freeing up the divisions to give way to an open and cohesive space, allowing natural light to flow freely and connect every corner of the home. The space is divided into two main blocks, clearly differentiating the daytime and nighttime areas. This architectural decision creates a single, continuous space, where the common areas now reveal an open design that invites both everyday life and gatherings with friends.

The kitchen becomes the protagonist of the project. Located in the daytime areas of the house, it has an open peninsula facing the living room, encouraging a seamless path through the home. The finishes, in shades of blue and white, play a crucial role in the project's narrative. The kitchen in LACA Blanco is complemented by Plantea Navy handles, creating a luminous atmosphere. The choice of tiles and the combination of different flooring add depth and texture to the space, maintaining a chromatic balance.

The structure of the home is enhanced by a blue beam, a striking element that introduces dynamism and a touch of color within a predominantly white setting.
