Kitchens - LAMINATE Caraibi

Neutral and bold fusion

On the first floor of a building in Barcelona, a vacation rental apartment is bathed in natural light and dominated by neutral, earthy tones.

The brief was to design a kitchen that not only blended with this environment but also met a tight budget. The owners were clear about the priorities to consider when renting an apartment and wanted a kitchen that was not only comfortable and efficient for cooking, but also offered an auxiliary area for eating.

The solution was a U-shaped kitchen that integrates effortlessly with the dining and living room. This layout allows for maximum use of the countertop, making both food preparation and dining easier.

A smart design decision was the use of Caraibi LAMINATE for the fronts and countertops. This choice not only allowed them to stay within budget but also infused the space with a fresh, light green hue. This color palette provides the perfect contrast to the earthy tones that predominate throughout the rest of the apartment, offering an unparalleled visual balance. The ROUND oak handles add a touch of warmth and fluidity to the overall design.

Upon completion of the renovation, the result was a space that, beyond its functionality, invites tenants to share and enjoy a kitchen that becomes the heart of the home.
