Kitchens - LAMINATE Blush

Reactivation of an industrial area

Originally, this industrial space was a large warehouse. Designed to maximize storage efficiency, its interior was completely open-plan with very few windows to allow natural light or ventilation.

In order to adapt the home to its new use—a space for working, exhibiting, and living—the space was divided into rooms that met the layout desired by the new tenants. From an initially abstract scheme, a practical architectural design materialized that now organizes and defines the different areas of the house.

The recent transformation of this warehouse into a multifunctional work-live space was an innovative project. The redistribution of the space was planned according to specific needs.

The result is a reinvention of the original space; it is now divided into multiple smaller, functionally distinct areas. Strategically placed walls form open and closed zones according to each purpose, including a kitchen, a study, a library, and more. This new layout allows for better organization of the space, making it more suitable for daily use.

In the kitchen, a Blush laminate finish has been selected, contrasting with the whites that predominate throughout the rest of the house. The soft color palette, complemented by the bright orange handles, brings vibrancy and creates a stimulating environment through color.

For the seating areas, an independent wooden structure has been designed, like a small house within the space, which also serves as a bookcase for the library, a desk for the study, and a wardrobe. In this way, this structure not only serves to create intimate spaces but also supports the other surrounding areas with integrated and practical furniture.

Despite having a very specific and structured design, the space maintains the flexibility to adapt to different needs and uses in the future, ensuring that it can evolve alongside those who inhabit it.
