Overlooking the natural landscape of El Pardo, this house has been meticulously transformed over the years. The owner's daughter has overseen a series of gradual renovations to this family home.

  • One of the biggest challenges of this renovation was converting an old terrace into a completely independent and functional apartment, which would be inhabited by his brother. The main goal was to create an environment that separated the public and private areas of the house, maximizing the views and ensuring plenty of natural light.

To address this challenge, an elongated surface was created with a vaulted ceiling. The layout remains largely open, segmenting the space into two main zones. The public area features a fluid combination of kitchen, dining room, and living room, highlighting an original skylight that once provided access to the terrace and now enhances the spaces with natural light. In contrast, the private area houses the bedroom with a spacious dressing room and a bathroom with an innovative circular shower enclosure made of aluminum sheeting.

The furniture finishes have been carefully chosen. Mushroom LINOLEUM is the dominant material throughout the house, evoking serenity and neutrality in both the kitchen and bedroom furniture. Other noteworthy materials and accessories include the aluminum island, the sky-blue pillars, and a built-in fireplace that lends a unique character to the space.

This renovation, beyond being a spatial reconfiguration, is the materialization of a detailed architecture that allows one to enjoy an impressive space that reflects the personal stamp of the owners.
