Kitchens - LAMINATE Pale
Reinterpreting the workspace with functionality and character
This approximately 130 m² space has been transformed into an architectural studio that reinterprets the relationship between work and living. Located in a historic building, part of a former convent, the renovation sought to recover original elements and enhance natural light as the central axis of the design.
From the outset, the goal was to create a fluid and welcoming environment, moving away from the idea of a conventional office. The proposal was inspired by the Casa Patio typology, organizing the space into volumes that alternate between open and closed areas. This layout encourages natural light to enter all rooms and creates a visual connection with the interior courtyards.
The meeting room is located on the ground floor, while the kitchen-diner is located on the first floor, accessible via a pre-existing concrete staircase. To visually enlarge the meeting area and improve ventilation, an additional patio was incorporated. At the center of the space, a solid oak table with clean lines reinforces the studio's identity, combining natural materials with a sober and balanced aesthetic.
The kitchen maintains the aesthetic coherence of the rest of the studio. The Pale LAMINATE finish fronts provide light, freshness, and a touch of color, while the PILL oak handles create a connection with other elements of the project.
This studio balances functionality and character, where every decision responds to a design vision that prioritizes light, natural materials, and fluidity between rooms. A space that goes beyond the traditional office, designed to work, inspire, and live.
