The challenge was immediate: the house had a pillarless structure, with load-bearing walls supporting the entire building. To carry out the desired redistribution, it was necessary to reinforce the structure with new beams. But from the beginning, the priority was to preserve the original spirit of the house. All the Catalan vaulted ceilings were retained, and the new beams were integrated by painting them green, a subtle yet significant gesture that connects them with the rest of the space.

Both owners work from home, which meant they needed a home that functioned well for both family and professional life. The renovation expanded the built area on both floors and organized it to allow for a sense of flow, natural light, and distinct areas for rest, work, and play. She, a graphic designer, led all the aesthetic decisions, carefully selecting every material, color, and combination.
