In Barcelona, a small 77m2 apartment, typical of the 1970s, was transformed into a modern and functional space. Originally divided into small rooms, the renovation was intended for a single person looking for a personalized and welcoming home.

  • The main challenge was to transform a small, compartmentalized space, consisting of three small rooms, a small kitchen, a living room and a dark bathroom, into an open and bright space.

To achieve this, the partition walls were demolished, leaving only a central pillar that now harmoniously organizes the space. This design resulted in a multifunctional room that integrates the dining area, kitchen, living room, and study, making the most of the natural light.

The night area includes a spacious dressing room that connects the bedroom to a bathroom with a large window that allows you to shower while looking at the sky.

In the kitchen, oak finishes were chosen to add warmth and a natural feel. The L-shaped layout maximizes space and functionality, complemented by a central island that serves as both a food preparation area and a secondary dining space. The use of anthracite gray microcement, contrasting with the parquet flooring in the room, creates a smooth visual flow and a sense of spaciousness.

The result is an apartment that balances modern elements with vintage touches, such as the olive green velvet sofa and the 70s bookcase. This renovation has created a simple yet striking space that reflects the owner's personality and needs.
