Kitchens - LAMINATE Blanco, WOOD Oak

A design with a family essence

An architect, inspired by her own family, decided to take on the challenge of designing their home. With 115 m2 at her disposal, she set out to develop a space that would pay tribute to her daughter and allow her to enjoy every moment as a family, without losing sight of the practicality of working from home.

The main need lay in the creation of fluid and neutral spaces that would encourage conviviality. The goal was to maximize natural light, essential for the rooms to feel spacious and welcoming. The restructuring was carried out by creating open but clearly defined areas, allowing for parallel activities; thus, the study, living area, and kitchen converge into an integrated space.

Original elements were preserved that add personality to the design: cast iron radiators, woodwork, and an unexpected hydraulic floor that emerged as a vestige of the past just before work began. These details are combined with classic finishes such as White Laminate and Wood Oak, complemented by PILL handles. This color combination, dominated by white, brings serenity and warmth to the room.

The kitchen is complemented by a white island, which not only serves as a cooking area but also functions as a gathering point for family gatherings, creating a harmonious contrast with the pattern of the hydraulic tile floor.

The daytime activity areas were strategically located near the windows to take advantage of natural light. The public area is located toward the entrance, while the bedrooms are in a more distant area and used lighter colors to provide more rest. The separation of rooms is marked by the same materials used in the renovation.

Every decision made, from the choice of materials to the distribution of spaces, reflects how functionality and aesthetics can converge to create a home that celebrates the essence of the family.
