The challenge was clear: much of the surface area was under a sloping roof, which influenced every decision. Not everything could go just anywhere. Therefore, the most comfortable areas—the kitchen and bathroom—were placed at the center of the space. Instead of avoiding them, they became the starting point. Around them, the rest of the house was organized with a clear logic: open, connected, and allowing everything to flow naturally.

The original wooden beams were retained, not only for practical reasons—gaining height—but because their presence alone was sufficient. The previous partitioning was also removed, allowing the different areas to coexist without the need for doors or marked boundaries. The house is designed for a couple, but with enough space to receive guests, share a meal, or step out onto the terrace without disrupting the rhythm of daily life.

The kitchen, finished in Smoke Lacquer and Graphite Laminate, is much more than just a place to cook. It's another piece of furniture, integrated into the overall design, functional and serene. The island was, for weeks, a topic of debate among friends and family. It meant giving up a large table, but it ended up being the best decision: today it's used for everything, and has become the true gathering place.
