Kitchens - WOOD Oak

A home with authentic Spanish charm

When the owners of this home moved to Madrid, they faced the challenge of finding a home that was not only functional and welcoming, but also reflected their identity.

This couple was looking for a spacious and bright home. In just one month, they discovered the ideal space: an 85 m2 apartment that, after a clever reconfiguration, went from having three fragmented bedrooms to two spacious, light-filled rooms with a large terrace.

From the beginning, they made it clear that they didn't want a generic house. Their desire was to have a home that captured the essence of Spain. This wish was realized with a vibrant color palette and the use of handcrafted materials. Navy blue was chosen for the master bedroom and its bathroom, and aqua green for the second bathroom, two vibrant colors that bring the space to life. To maximize light and reduce the feeling of a long hallway, a bright yellow was chosen, complemented by sliding doors of the same tone.

The kitchen is another centerpiece of the house. With a burgundy tiled hood, WOOD Roble cabinets, and gold handles, the design is complemented by an island with a Rosso Lepanto marble countertop that stands out for its texture and color. This L-shaped kitchen is not only visually striking but also highly functional, providing ample storage space in the base cabinets and wall cabinets. During the renovation, priority was given to restoring the original flooring and using local materials, such as Valencian and Madrid tiles. This house is a clear reflection of how you can achieve a modern feel in harmony with vestiges of the past. Every corner of the house speaks of the owners' love for Spain and their passion for design that is both practical and unconventional.
