Kitchens - LAMINATE Sable, WOOD Oak

A space for cooking and sharing

A family with two children embarks on a renovation of the most precious space in the house: the kitchen. The kitchen is where they cook daily, but it's also a place where they gather. It's where their children do their homework on many evenings, where they have breakfast as a family on weekends, and where they also entertain friends when they have visitors.

Being such an important place, they decided to give it a very large, light-filled space. The kitchen had to be spacious and meet all their needs: ample work areas at the countertop, open storage space, a large island, and a separate area for laundry.

The main kitchen is laid out in a single line where we placed all the appliances and the sink. Opposite this line is a large island that serves as a support during cooking but also as a meeting place. Another of the major challenges of this renovation was storage. Opposite the main front, we placed a wall unit with ample pantry space and where we could store cleaning supplies. As a functional yet decorative addition, we designed a large natural oak shelving unit.

The finish used throughout the design is WOOD oak, a powerful, natural finish that fills the space with personality and warmth. For the countertop, porcelain was chosen in a neutral sand tone, providing functionality and a touch of color contrast.
