Boosting light through a large window

This 70m2 apartment was designed to challenge conventional space layout, aiming to create an open, fluid, and unified design that maximizes the entry of natural light.

The design responds to the need for spaciousness and brightness with a large window that enhances the entry of light. Furthermore, the space is unified by eliminating partitions through a continuous design where the space becomes a living room and kitchen, creating a cozy and expansive atmosphere.

The kitchen, traditionally isolated, opens up to the living room to form a single space, eliminating any visual and physical barriers that could hinder interaction or the passage of light. The kitchen, equipped with wall and wall units, integrates perfectly into this open space, providing storage solutions.

The chosen materials and finishes play a crucial role in harmonizing light and space. The white laminate countertop and the white lacquer and oak wood finishes, complemented by round handles, bring a touch of modernity, warmth, and simplicity to the room. The tones were chosen to further enhance the feeling of spaciousness and clarity. These finishes, together, create a visually light and open environment.

The project incorporates elements that characterize the surroundings, such as brick, exposed concrete, and galvanized steel, which, although to a lesser extent, also appear in the buildings in the area. The careful arrangement of the furniture and the kitchen open to the living room facilitate versatile use of the space. In short, a project designed to allow for living in a spacious and bright environment in a practical and functional way.
