Kitchens - LAMINATE Pale
Color transforms an open and bright space
In Barcelona's Sants neighborhood, this project transforms a 60 m² apartment into a comfortable, practical, and light-filled home. Designed for a young couple, the goal was to make better use of the space without losing warmth or functionality.
Before the renovation, the apartment had separate bedrooms, a foyer, and a hallway that diminished the feeling of spaciousness. These divisions were eliminated to create a single open space that unites the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Now, natural light flows unhindered, making the home feel larger and more inviting.
The key element of the design is a built-in cabinet that runs the length of the space from the entrance to the terrace. It houses the sofa, dining area, and refrigerator, with a built-in shelf that provides continuity. This design not only improves storage and functionality but also brings the entire space together.
The kitchen is one of the most striking features of the renovation. With furniture in a Pale LAMINATE finish and a green and yellow geometric tile floor, it brings energy and freshness to the whole. The colors and materials create an interesting contrast with the neutral tones of the rest of the house, giving it a personal, Mediterranean style.
Every design decision has been made with comfort and practical use of the space in mind. What was once a dark, compartmentalized apartment is now an open, bright, and functional home, designed to adapt to the daily lives of its inhabitants with a modern and welcoming style.
