Industrial design and warmth for a family apartment

In the center of Madrid, this 163 m² apartment has been transformed to adapt to the needs of a large family, combining functional design and character in every detail. With the goal of creating spacious and well-organized common spaces, the renovation focused on optimizing the layout and making the most of the original materials.

The design was structured around the kitchen and living-dining room, which became the main axis of the home. This layout facilitates interaction and daily use, while the bedrooms are distributed on either side, offering a natural separation between the common and private areas.

During the construction, when the walls were removed, concrete pillars and ceilings in excellent condition were revealed. These elements were incorporated into the design, providing texture and an industrial style balanced by warm materials and finishes designed for comfort. The integration of these structural details not only reinforces the apartment's character but also creates a unique atmosphere that combines modernity and functionality.

Mushroom linoleum, chosen for the kitchen, stands out as a key element in the renovation. This material provides a sense of warmth and visual continuity that elegantly contrasts with the exposed concrete pillars and ceilings. In the kitchen, its presence reinforces the contemporary design and fits perfectly with the industrial style that dominates the common spaces.

The selection of materials and a well-connected layout transform this space into a versatile and welcoming place, designed for both everyday life and special family moments. Every corner reflects the personality and needs of those who live there, achieving a balance between functionality and character.
