In the heart of Madrid, near Plaza de Callao, the concept of living has been redefined in a mere 42 square meters. In this penthouse, a couple with a clear vision of what they wanted for their first space together have transformed it through a functional design. The main challenge was the layout within such a limited space.

  • Built in 1900, the attic presented challenges such as sloping ceilings, large rooms with few partitions, and low ceiling heights. As a result, the space was effectively redistributed to meet its needs, aiming to create a spacious and bright area that, above all, reflected its identity. A linear structure was planned that merges with the living room and kitchen, creating a central hub for daytime living.

To amplify the sense of continuity and visual connection between the spaces, no partitions have been installed, allowing natural light to flow freely. Mirrors have also been strategically used throughout the house, visually expanding the space and adding a new dimension to the overall design.

The kitchen, as the heart of the home, utilizes a clever layout that includes a tall unit with both upper and lower cabinets, providing ample storage solutions in a compact space. The Pale laminate finishes with Plantea handles enhance the room's brightness and add a vibrant touch of color that complements the overall bright color scheme.

This project is a prime example of how clever design can transform a limited space into a stylish, functional, and light-filled home. It becomes a space that meets your daily needs while reflecting your unique personality and lifestyle.
