Kitchens - LAMINATE Blanco, WOOD Oak

Luminosity, harmony and historical heritage in a design for Montjuïc

A young couple embarked on the renovation of their 90m2 first apartment in Montjuïc, Barcelona, seeking a balance between functionality and the serenity of the natural landscape. Their goal was to transform the space into a welcoming, light-filled place that also reflected a unique identity. They opted for a space that stood out for its creative use of color and harmony with the tones of nature, creating a vibrant and distinctive effect.

The renovation focused on enhancing the historic textures, leaving the original brick and Catalan vault exposed. Partitions were removed to create an open-plan environment that allowed for the expansion of natural light, giving the space a sense of openness and fluidity between the areas of the house.

The WOOD Oak finishes combined with SQUARE handles complemented the design of the central module of the home, where bright colors such as earth red, green, and brown take center stage. This palette is balanced by the neutrality of the white laminate cabinets, enhancing the luminosity of the space and creating an elegant atmosphere. The play of tones is complemented by the hydraulic tile flooring in the kitchen and wood in the living room, creating a space full of life and character.

The kitchen has a peninsula that becomes the center of daily life, this is complemented by a practical bar, being the perfect meeting point for breakfasts and quick meals. The layout of the kitchen keeps the space open, connecting the living room with the private areas.

This project transforms the home into a place full of light and color, where each element, from the layout to the materials and finishes, create a unique identity for the space, achieving the couple's initial objective.
