Kitchens - White Laminate
Light, garden and linked spaces
In the heart of Vilafranca del Penedès, a couple decided to transform an old terraced house into a bright, contemporary home filled with layers, both physical and emotional.
The project began with a challenging yet intriguing situation: a plot measuring just 3.5 meters wide and 35 meters long. The buildable depth—22 meters—opened up an exceptional opportunity: transforming compactness into spatial richness.
The house is structured as a succession of stepped platforms, each at a different height, which respond to the internal topography of the site.
One of the project's most poetic gestures is the placement of the living room within the garden. A space framed by high stone walls and crowned by three plum trees. There, a new concrete volume, covered by a green roof, rests heavily on the existing walls, contrasting weight and lightness, nature and geometry.
In this play of contrasts, materials and finishes play a key role. The kitchen, located at the heart of the home, has been designed with clean-lined furnishings that integrate with the structure. The Blanco LAMINATE finish and ROUND handles provide serenity and light, reinforcing the warm and functional atmosphere of the space. A timeless finish that blends naturally into the overall feel.
The project focuses on passive and intelligent architecture. The southeast-facing rear facade is designed primarily with glass to capture the winter sun, and is protected in summer by thick stone walls that help regulate the temperature naturally.
Pipu and Marta's house is not just a dwelling, but a statement of principles. A balance between memory and renewal, between the structural and the sensitive. A home that embraces nature.
