Setting the table as a way of being together

There are gestures that speak volumes about who we are. Choosing the tablecloth, folding napkins, carefully placing the cutlery… Setting the table may seem like a simple act, but in some homes it becomes a true ritual of connection.
In this house, setting the Christmas table is more than just a task before the meal: it's a shared moment between father and daughter, where the details take on meaning and every element finds its place. There are no strict rules or protocol, but rather a way of doing things that conveys care, tenderness, and a desire to celebrate.

The daughter, still a baby, watches with curiosity as her father sets the table. Sometimes she clumsily imitates him, other times she simply observes. But even now she participates. Because sharing a meal is also about that: making space to learn, to accompany, and to grow.

This domestic, intimate, and everyday ritual has something profoundly moving about it. Perhaps because, beyond the menu or the decorations, it speaks to a very human desire: the desire to be together. To be part of something. To convey, without words, that in this house, holidays are celebrated around a table that unites generations.
