Kitchens, Wardrobes - LINOLEUM Mushroom

Reconfiguration of exterior and interior spaces

With panoramic views of the natural landscape of El Pardo, this home has been meticulously transformed over the years. The owner's daughter has been in charge of guiding a series of progressive renovations to this family home.

One of the biggest challenges of this renovation was converting a former terrace into a completely independent and functional apartment, which would be inhabited by her brother. Primarily, the goal was to create an environment that would separate the public and private areas of the entire house, making the most of the views and ensuring the entry of natural light.

To solve this challenge, an elongated surface was created with a vaulted ceiling. The layout remains primarily open, segmenting the space into two main areas. The public area houses a fluid combination of kitchen, dining room, and living room, highlighting a former skylight, which previously provided access to the terrace and now enhances the spaces with an entry of natural light. In contrast, the private area houses the bedroom with a spacious dressing room and a bathroom with an innovative circular aluminum shower.

The furniture finishes have been carefully chosen. Mushroom linoleum is presented as the main material throughout the house, evoking serenity and neutrality in both the kitchen and the bedroom furniture. In addition, other materials and accessories stand out, such as the aluminum-veneer island, the sky-blue pillars, and a built-in fireplace that lends a unique character to the space.

This renovation, beyond being a spatial reconfiguration, is the materialization of a detailed architecture that allows you to enjoy an imposing space that reflects the personal touch of the owners.
