Kitchens, Wardrobes - LACQUER Marga, WOOD Oak

Redefining the warmth and functionality of the space for a new era

In a quiet town in Alicante, this 100 m² chalet becomes the perfect space for Marjo and Gwan, a Dutch couple who, with their sights set on retirement, have transformed this second home into a warm and functional place. With a design conceived to maintain certain original elements and optimize the distribution of the space.

The project started with an important challenge: to respect the distinctive flooring and reorganize the space to achieve a more fluid layout. The solution was based on a careful selection of finishes, where WOOD Nogal becomes the protagonist of the kitchen and the furniture that connects the hall and dining areas in WOOD Nogal and LACQUER Marga, providing visual cohesion and warmth from the entrance to the living room.

This multifunctional furniture in the hall functions as a wardrobe, offers additional storage space, and discreetly integrates the washing machine, maintaining a unified aesthetic. The U-shaped kitchen optimizes every inch and adds functionality to the whole.

With a combination of warm materials and a layout that separates the living and dining areas with a walnut wood screen, the result is a cozy and well-defined space, designed so that Marjo and Gwan can fully enjoy this stage of their life in Spain.
